The climate of Florida has never been easy as we hear every other day, that floods and hurricanes hit the coastal areas. But the worst that could happen to the governor is that the people of the state start blaming him for the climatic change in the area.
This is what has happened to the current 64th governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis. As he is gathering all his stuff to fight for the president of the USA, his allies are working in his favor while those who do not want him to be on success, want him to withdraw from the election campaign.
The rival of Ron DeSantis is the former president of America, Donald Trump. He has been taking all the measures to make himself less successful in the elections game. “Environmental groups have aimed DeSantis over a record on the climate they say is no better than Donald Trump’s, his rival for the Republican presidential nomination”, say the experts and they think that he did not take any measures for the betterment of the state’s climatic factors.
DeSantis told his interlocutor, the former Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, “People tried to say when we had [Hurricane] Ian that it was because of climate change but if you look at the first 60 years from 1900 to 1960 we had more major hurricanes hit Florida than the 60 years since then.”
Michael Mann, a climate scientist at the University of Pennsylvania, said,
“It is Ron DeSantis who is engaged in the ‘politicization of the weather’ by denying basic, established science – the intensification of tropical storms with human-caused warming of the oceans.”
The changes in the environment are being compared to that of the time of Donald Trump because they think that the way things were is not changed at all. However, Ron did not allow his haters to take on him for the matter of climate and told them the history, of how the climate kept worse than this in the past.
